The Gunsan International Migratory Bird Festival takes place in the coastal town of Gunsan, in northwest Jeollabuk-do (North Jeolla Province). Visitors will have the pleasure of watching flocks of Baikal teal, the most common migratory bird found in the Geumgang River estuary, fly through the air on their seasonal migratory route southward. Visitors can also experience magnificent natural scenery and enjoy family-oriented activities. Among the main events during the festival are the opening ceremony, an exhibition, face painting, an outdoor concert, animal feeding, bicycling and camping.
