padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; \">그런데 더욱 놀라운 것은 매춘부들이 흥정을 걸어오는 대로변 양쪽의 번듯한 건물에 한국어로 \'○○어학원\' \'XX영어\'라고 쓴 간판들이 즐비하고, 한국에서 온 무수한 10대와 20대 학생들이 그런 환경에서 공부한다는 사실이었다. 한 교민에게 \"그런 매춘부들이 즐비한 곳에서 어떻게 학원을 열고 학생들이 다니느냐?\"고 묻자 \"한국 부모들이 이런 곳에 한 번만 와 보면 당장 자기 아이들을 데려갈 것\"이라고 했다.<br style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; \">무책임한 현지 공무원들과 학원 관계자들, 이런 사정을 모르는 한국의 부모들이 아이들을 방치한 사이, 영어를 배우러 온 한국 남학생들이 \'사고\'를 치는 경우도 급증하고 있다. 현지에서는 코리안과 필리피노를 합성한 \'코피노(KOPINO)\'라는 단어가 생겨나 \'버려진 아이들\'이란 뜻으로 통용될 정도다. 지난주 한 방송이 보도한 코피노 실태를 보면, 필리핀의 코피노가 7~8년 전 1000명에서 지금은 1만 명을 넘었고, 코피노 아빠는 대개 10대 후반~20대 초반의 한국 유학생들이라고 한다.<br style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; \"><br style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; \">일부 남학생들은 필리핀 여자 친구를 사귀어야 영어가 빨리 는다는 명분을 내세워 유흥업소 종업원이나 여학생들과 동거하는 경우가 많고 상대방이 임신하면 곧바로 줄행랑을 친다. 한 남학생이 여러 필리핀 여성을 임신시킨 경우도 있다. 이런 남학생들에게 헌신짝처럼 버려지는 코피노와 코피노 엄마들이 급증하면서 필리핀의 반한 감정도 급격히 높아지고 있다.<br style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; \">코피노 아빠들을 추적해 \'혼인빙자간음죄\'로 처벌하면 적당할 것 같지만 2009년 11월 위헌 결정이 나면서 이 조항으로 처벌할 수는 없다. 현지 공관과 한인 단체, 한국의 인권단체들이 나서면 어떨까. 현지에선 피해자들을 만나 코피노 아빠들의 인적 사항과 행적을 최대한 모은다. 이를 넘겨받아 한국에선 도망 온 코피노 아빠들을 찾아내 위자료와 양육비를 받아내 전달하는 것이다. 코피노 아빠들에게 출입국 제한 등 각종 행정적 불이익도 줘야 한다. 무책임한 코피노 아빠들뿐만 아니라 그들의 부모와 한국 사회의 무관심도 코피노와 그 엄마들의 고통을 외면하는 공범이란 인식이 절실하다.</div>
