  • To support profitable and sustainable market share growth for adidas in Korea market by development and implementation of new strategic business concepts (reflecting Sales/Marketing/Operations) with key customers. To improve processes and systems to drive organizational effectiveness and efficiency and to address all extraordinary challenges to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • (Create Vision) Actively support General Manager in creating a 5-year vision for adidas brand strategy in Korea market, drive alignment among Korea Senior Leadership Team and Market Asia Pacific
  • (Strategic Business Planning) Drive the development, evolution, and implementation of Korea market Strategic Business Plan across brands, channels and supporting functions aligned with global strategies; facilitate an annual strategy review and define yearly priorities
  • (Project Management Office) Collaboratively steer, coordinate and prioritize cross-functional strategic priorities, support and track the implementation of key global and local strategic initiatives
  • (Change management) Support Korea Senior Leadership Team in change management process following all major project implementation, proactively assess the need and drive change (in business processes and organizational evolution) to meet the needs of brands, channels, customers and consumers
  • (Management Support) Support Korea Senior Leadership Team (primarily General Manager) in facilitating on-going management meetings, monitoring and reporting business KPIs to key stakeholders
  • (Business Intelligence) Leverage internal data sources, global advance analytics capabilities, and external market intelligence research; lead analytical approaches to turn sales, brand and consumer data into strategic insights for winning the consumer; identify new business opportunities to achieve profitable growth for adidas brand in collaboration with functional experts.
  • (Network) Build a network acting as focal point for local market, global functions and other key support functions to ensure identification of relevant projects. Actively contribute to the network by demonstrating examples of alignment to global strategies
  • (Leadership) Lead team and foster a high-performance culture within the team; develop and retain key talents

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Business Development veteran with proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional projects ideally with Marketing or Sales or Operations experience
  • Strong strategic acting and high visionary thinking as well as operational skills
  • Proven project management skills, strong strategic planning, and business simulation skills
  • High degree of commercial and business acumen knowledge
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills (if applicable)
  • High personal impact and high communication skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is a must. Skills and abilities in Korean is an added plus

Requisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of project management experience within large sales organization or in the consulting industry
  • Preferable experience in the sport or clothing wholesale industry
  • Experience successfully leading, managing and developing a team (if applicable)
  • Business degree from leading business school
