At least 28 areas in Metro Manila remained flooded as of Thursday morning, 19 of them not passable to vehicles, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said.

Most of the areas still not passable as of 8:30 a.m. are in Manila, the MMDA said in posts on its Twitter account.

Meanwhile, the MMDA said the flooding at P. Tuazon tunnel at Epifanio delos Santos Avenue prompted authorities to divert light vehicles to service roads.

No flood was reported at C5 as of 8:44 a.m., it added.

Floods near LRT areas

Light Rail Transit Authority spokesman Hernando Cabrera tweeted Thursday there were floods near some LRT-1 stations, including:

- Arroceros at City Hall area near Central Station, knee-deep; other sides ankle-deep 

- Doroteo Jose station, knee-deep

- R. Papa, Bambang, Abad Santos, knee-deep
