MANILA, Philippines – A 4.4 magnitude tremor shook the province of Quezon Wednesday night with intensities also felt in parts of Metro Manila, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.

The tectonic quake was recorded 7:05 p.m., with its epicenter at 40 kilometers northeast of Polillo.

Intensity III was felt in Quezon City and Infanta in Quezon, while Intensity II was felt in Taguig.

The earthquake had a depth of five kilometers, Phivolcs said.

No damages were recorded, and aftershocks were also not expected from the quake.
